Aaron Kimsey
Founder and Attorney
Aaron grew up in Morristown, TN and joined the Air Force at age 18. After 8 years he separated from the 20th Special Operations Squadron, where he served as a flight engineer on MH-53M Pavelow Helicopters. Aaron received his B.A. in Business Legal Studies from East Tennessee State University, where he graduated with the highest honors and his Juris Doctorate from Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. After serving as the Director of Special Projects in a Multi-State law firm, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Sevierville, TN. When Aaron is not working and fighting for his clients, he has several hobbies.
Aaron is an avid fly fisherman enjoying both the simplicity of the equipment, and the challenge of the hunt. He has an undying love for the outdoors and nature, and enjoys sailing and riding his motorcycle.
Hailey Tackett-Zaitz
Associate Attorney
Hailey Tackett-Zaitz is an Associate Attorney at the Law Firm of Aaron M. Kimsey, where she represents clients in both criminal defense and personal injury matters. An East Tennessee native, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before graduating magna cum laude from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law.
Hailey began her legal career in the District Attorney’s Office, gaining valuable experience and insight into the criminal justice system. After several years in prosecution, she transitioned to criminal defense, where she is dedicated to guiding clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. In addition to her criminal defense work, she advocates for individuals in personal injury cases, providing compassionate and thorough representation to those who have been injured.
Hailey is admitted to practice in the State of Tennessee and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family
Rachelle Phillips Shults
Client Services Coordinator
Rachelle received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts in Communications from Western Kentucky University. Upon completing her degrees, she taught Public Speaking, and Argumentation & Debate on the University level for almost a decade before going back to school to receive training as a Family Mediator. Rachelle uses her communication and organizational skills serving as our firm’s Client Services Coordinator.
In her free time, she enjoys singing, competing in 5K’s, teaching BARRE Pilates, and is an avid cyclist and book-lover. Rachelle and her family reside in Sevierville, TN.
Pat Bowman
Director of Operations
Pat joined The Kimsey Firm in September, 2019. She has served as Director of Operations for Bonefish & Tarpon Trust in Miami, Florida, Lead Systems Analyst at Martin Lockheed, Executive Director of Rose Center and Council of the Arts, Director of Professional Alliances, and Director of Marketing for The Andersen Firm.
Pat enjoys her grandchildren, fishing and hiking. She received her BA from Maryville College, Tennessee.
